About Military Working Dog Bruno N584

Bruno served in the United States Air Force as an explosive detection MWD. He deployed in 2011 to Iraq/Kuwait , and again to Afghanistan in 2013. In his last year of active duty he traveled to various locations with Secret Service detail for numerous dignitaries. He served with great pride and completed his missions despite his failing health. He retired from the AF on 9 July 2014 and was adopted by TSgt. Francisco Lugo, Jr. who is also retired from the Air Froce. Bruno had to have an exploratory surgery due to vomiting and not wanting to eat. While in surgery, the veterinarian 9discovered many objects in his stomach to include, pieces of toys, cloth material, and more. bruno was unable to survive recovery and crossed over the rainbow bridge at home with his human Frank by his side.
