About Military Working Dog Arco M641

MWD Arco was a patrol and explosive detector dog in the US Air Force and was stationed at Yokota AB in Japan. Arco was deployed to Kuwait and Afghanistan during his service. He completed numerous Secret Service missions protecting many different dignitaries. After returning from Afghanistan in 2012, Arco started having hip and back problems. X-rays were taken and he appeared to have a burst disc in his back and arthritis in his legs. Arco underwent and MRI and it was confirmed that he had a bulging/burst disc in his back which is compressing on his spinal cord causing him pain every day, and makes walking difficult for him. Arco retired out with his handler and is now living in New Mexico lounging around on the couch.
