About Military Working Dog Max CWD

One was given very little background information from the Contractor on CWD Max EDD (Ret) other than he was whelped in the Netherlands, trained at a facility in Hill Country, Texas. He spent three (3) years in Iraq (2009 – 2011) as an explosives detection dog and was examined at an Army Veterinary facility @ Victory Base, Baghdad, Iraq every six months. He is a super alpha male with a very strong prey drive so it was recommended not to go to a household with small animals or small children. I adopted him on 03 Apr 2013. He has been my constant companion, even going to work with me every day as a contact security officer. He loves to chase tennis balls, chew his moose antlers, and the always present Kong. He loves tail scratches, belly rubs and hugs. We play “tag” when the weather isn’t too hot or cold. He is a beautiful 85 lb. triple coated long haired black/red GSD with the most beautiful copper colored eyes. I absolutely love this boy and feel so blessed to have him in my life. I pray he will be with me for many more years to come. I am thankful to AMK9 for the excellent care and treatment they give their working dogs. They bring them home after deployment and work diligently to find their retirees loving forever homes.
