Rex was born in Poland October 6, 2017. He went into training for EDD and then deployed to Afghanistan, he served a tour and a half until the war ended August 31, 2021. He then was brought back to the base in North Carolina with the rest of them for processing in and reassessment to be redeployed. They found unresolved medical / physical issues existing, which impeded his duty performance. Which resulted him not being deployed to Iraq with his handler, this led to him being retired 9/22/2021.
